It is recommended to us in Appendix 2 of <a href=\"https:\/\/education.gov.scot\/media\/bdahf0lv\/idl-ambitious-learning-for-an-increasingly-complex-world-oct23.pdf\">the<\/a> thought paper &#8220;Interdisciplinary Learning: ambitious learning for an increasingly complex world&#8221; published in October 2023. The 7 key elements of PBL are below and more information about it can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pblworks.org\/what-is-pbl\">here<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>The challenging problem or question<\/strong> \u2013 here the project is framed by a meaningful <br \/>problem to be solved or questioned to be answered.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sustained Inquiry<\/strong> \u2013 the students now engage in a rigorous extended piece of research <br \/>where they pose questions, find resources and apply information.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Authenticity<\/strong> \u2013 the project is related to the real-world context.
