About Heathrigg Nursery School

Heathrigg Nursery School is a local authority Nursery run by Falkirk Council Education Services. It is situated in the rural village of Slamannan. It has a wonderful outlook over the fields and surrounding countryside 6 miles south east of Falkirk. It consist of two separate playrooms, the Sunbeam Room and the Rainbow Room. The Rainbow Room caters for children aged between 6 months and 3 years of age. The Sunbeam Room caters for children aged 3 to 5 years.

Heathrigg Nursery School is register to provide a care service to a maximum of 40 children at any one time as follows:
30 children aged from 3 years to those not yet attending primary school in the Sunbeam Room.
10 children under the age of 3 years of whom no more than 3 are aged from 0 to under 2 years in the Rainbow Room.

The nursery operates between the times of 8.00am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Staffing levels will comply with those stated in the National Care Standards, Early Education & Childcare up to the age of 16: Annex A – Input Standards. (A link to this document can be found in the useful information section on the right)
