Today we enjoyed bowling sessions at the Adrian Bowling Club in Falkirk. Children have a letter to take home tonight which provides information on a junior bowling club.
Cricket Sessions
Today we had a cricket coach in school. He will be in school every Monday for the next 4 weeks.
Sport Your Trainers Day
We all had our trainers on today to show our support for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow this year.

Using Historical Evidence
Orienteering
This term we are learning about orienteering in our class PE time. Today Charlotte Main, our active schools co-ordinator, came in to work with our class. We looked at maps and discussed the features/keys on the maps. We then completed an orienteering course in the school playground. We are working our bodies and our brains! Fact or Opinion?
As part of our topic on the 20th century we are learning the distinguish the difference between fact and opinion. Today we read a passage about Nelson Mandela then sorted the statements into fact or opinion.
Outdoor Gym
We are all enjoying a new block of outdoor gym. Please remember to bring outdoor gym kit on a Tuesday morning.
Rugby/Food Safety
We started a 6 week block of health work today. We are learning about food hygiene and safety followed by a fitness block of rugby. All children enjoyed the start of the session.
Bloom’s Fans
We are learning to compose and answer questions using Bloom’s fans. We are using them during our topic work on the 20th Century.
