I went to Cardiff for the weekend to see, amongst other things, Wales v Austria. The footy was the lowpoint, but it was great to catch up with lots of mates and sample the pre and post match atmosphere of a packed city centre.
But tickets… thought we were going paper free? bus ticket to the airport, plane ticket – well boarding pass; bus ticket from the airport; train ticket to Cardiff since it was cheaper and easier to fly to Bristol and get across the way; match ticket; and repeat all the previous ones for the return journey… nice.
Was listening to the people in front of me on the plane… easyjet (who also run easyjail in cuba) have not only made travelling cheap and accessible they have created a journey culture… one in which we now make more trips than we would have once considered… and probably a lot of them we could do without… what will happen once the price of jet fuel rockets? – ha ha rocket, jet, oh dear…
