Exam season will be here before we know it so if you’ve not already done so, why not consider signing up to MySQA, your direct link with SQA? It lets you view your qualification information, check the personal details they hold for you and if you’re sitting exams you can get your results sent by email and text message.
Also available from SQA is their personal timetable builder (also available as an app for Android and i-phones/pod touch) and my study plan , a mobile application for learners (currently available for i-phone/pod touch only)
As hoax HMRC emails begin doing the rounds again, may we bring to your attention our previous post on internet security and remind you that neither EMA Team nor Falkirk Council will contact you by email to ask that you confirm personal or bank details.
Need more information on how to avoid phishing or other financial scams? Visit the Direct Gov webpage on how to protect your money by clicking here.
Please remember that both EMA Team and your school/learning centre are often very restricted about what we can discuss with a parent/carer. This isn’t because we’re trying being difficult but to ensure we correctly follow data protection regulations. It also helps you take more responsibility, one of the aims of Education Services’ Learning to Achieve. If you have a general query and don’t want to ask us or your school/learning centre, why not check the information provided on our general webpage (click here )? Or, for more specific in-session questions, try the FAQ’s and other info on Falkirk EMA on Glow (click here ).
Otherwise, please don’t hesitate to give us a call or ask at your school office/learning centre.
If you were 16 or over on or before 29th February and you intend to apply, please do so as a matter of urgency, even if you still await some of the supporting evidence.
If you have a query about the amount received, please contact your school direct. Please remember that for data protection reasons, we and/or your school may not be able to discuss aspects of your EMA with your parent/carer. If you need more information on EMA @ School, check out the Glow page.
If you receive EMA under the Acitivity Agreement scheme and need help with your EMA, please contact your learning advisor or EMA Team.
