Schools will shortly be closing for the holidays and so will our EMA blog. We expect this to be our last post of 2011, so here’s a quick update:
- Education Services will be closed Mon 26th & Tue 27th Dec and Mon 2nd & Tue 3th Jan.
- Applications currently being held under query or those recently received will continue to be progressed over the holidays. However we may not be able to obtain further information or move applications forward for approval / payment as quickly as normal. Please contact us if you wish to check the status of your application.
- The first payment available for pupils 16 between 1st Oct ‘11 and 28th Feb ‘12 is not due until 20th January and will be for week ended 13th Jan. For older pupils, this payment will also include that due for this week ended 23rd December.
- Any pupils for whom entitlement could only be provisionally confirmed will be sent a reminder in January requesting further information. If your parents are self-employed we will require the 10/11 SA302 (confirmation of self-assessment tax calculation) or full accounts for the same period. Should your provisional award have been made as a result of a change in circumstances, we will need written confirmation of any further change, and most recent income details. All are required under Scottish Government guidelines to ensure awards continue to be made on a fair and accurate basis.
Please remember to advise EMA Team immediately of any change of address or bank details and as usual, if you need help with any aspect of your EMA, please do not hesitate to contact us. Otherwise we hope you all have a happy and safe Christmas and New Year!
