{"id":37,"date":"2013-01-30T11:45:41","date_gmt":"2013-01-30T11:45:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fa\/CurriculumSupport\/?p=37"},"modified":"2013-07-09T13:33:00","modified_gmt":"2013-07-09T13:33:00","slug":"technologies-in-the-classroom-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fa\/CurriculumSupport\/2013\/01\/30\/technologies-in-the-classroom-group\/","title":{"rendered":"Technologies in the Classroom Group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Falkirk Council Education Services is about to embark on a significant year of change with regards ICT in the Classroom, so in\u00a0order to involve staff in in educational establishments in this process a Technologies in the Classroom group has been formed, facilitated by Stuart Lennie and Malcolm Wilson of the Curriculum Support team, along with Roy Robotham, ICT Programme Manager.<\/p>\n<p>January 2013 will see the start of several major technology improvement projects. These are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a review of Internet Filtering policies (with specific reference to YouTube for possible pupil use)<\/li>\n<li>the rollout of wireless infrastructure in education, allowing support for Council and personal devices<\/li>\n<li>data protection guidance for staff<\/li>\n<li>the implementation of the next iteration of Glow<\/li>\n<li>methods for sharing and supporting technology use in education<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In order to involve staff in this process a Technologies in the Classroom group has been formed.
