P6/7 took part in the Falkirk Council Olympic Games.  This is us ready to do the lap of honour before heading off to do a variety of sports.  We had a great day!

We went to Frankie and Benny’s and learned a bit about the restaurant and then we made our own pizzas!  We ate them before we went back to school!

We have been investigating shadows and how they are formed, so we went outside on a sunny day and drew our own shadows.  We enjoyed the activity, and even drew round a bicycle’s shadow!

Parents took part in the games that the production teams created.  They were very busy, although they did say that the movie anagrams were difficult!

Ace Productions won the award for the best scenery.  They used outside scenes as well as inside ones!  Well done!

The films are finished, we watched them and voted for them, and today we celebrated our success with an Oscars Ceremony.  Buddy was the star of the show, wearing his tuxedo and celebrating the success of ‘Bearnapped’ – the winning movie!  There were awards for ‘Star Boy’ and ‘DJ’s Tales’ also.  We had a great afternoon and the parents that came along enjoyed themselves today.

Today was Buddy’s first day of filming.  He starred in the film created by ‘Groovy Movies’.  He had a very enjoyable day of filming but was exhausted after some scenes needed several takes to get them right.  Tomorrow, he will star in the creation by ‘Hollywood Stars’.  The Oscars ceremony is just round the corner!

The dancers from the Braes Cluster took part in a Day of Dance at our school today.  Buddy, not to be outdone, decided to take part.  He had a good time!

We played Snap on the Smartboard to help us with 12 and 24 hour clock.  We helped each other out if we were stuck and we beat our time!

Our class room was a hive of activity today.  ACE Productions, Hollywood stars

and Groovy Movies (our three groups) are making great advancements in making a film for Buddy.
