Hi, well done finding the blog! Here are the photos of the items from the Roman Box, which is on loan from Callendar House. Over the next few days we will add audio clips so you can hear some of the pupils talking about their ideas.
For the Homework task please have a look at the photos with your child if you have time and try to work out what you think they are. If you’d like to you can then add your suggestions as comments here or, if you prefer, your child can write them in their jotter. Don’t worry if you’re not too sure what they are- we talked in class about how every archaeologist is entitled to their opinion!

my mum thought the first one was a stone, the second one is a bowl, the third one was a plate,the fourth one is a glass, the fith won is a bit of roman wood, the sixth one is a handle and the last one is little stones

Finlay, the slideshow is a Windows Media Player file so not sure why it won’t play for you but thanks for letting me know you can’t access it yet, I’ll see what I can do.

OK thanks, good to know. But it says that it is “Anarchy Media Player” and I think that I have Windows Media Player, so I have no idea why it’s not playing.

my mum got 6 out of 7 and my mum is excellent the last one my mum thought that it was chocolate chip cookies its was so fun but next time try to get really hard ones so all the adults get them all wrong SHE DID GREAT
My Mum and Dad thought 1. was a sharpning stone, 2. was a piece of slate, 3. was pottery of a plate, 4. was a bit of glass, 5. was nails, 6. was bone or wood and the bonus one was soil.

5. She thought they were nail’s out of a soldiers sandle.

Bonus Artefact we thought it was wood off of a chopping knife handle.
