Itinerary

Day 1: Travel overland to Glasgow via Mallaig ferry
Day 2: Travel to Tanzania, landing in Dar Es Salaam at 10pm
Day 3: Admin day within the city today. We are to confirm accommodation for the trip and buy our supplies from the markets
Day 4: Travel overland to Msosa and prepare for our trek tomorrow.
Day 3-4: We trek through the Boabab Valley, passing waterfalls, caves and local villages along the way.
Day 5-6: Trekking through the Boabab Valley on the fronges of the Udzungwa Mountains National Park. We will pass by waterfalls, caves, local villages and hopefully see native wildlife.
Day 7: Cooking preperation day. today we will be shown how to cook some traditional Tanzanian food.
Day 8-12: Project work. During these days we will be helping to build an accommodation block for teachers. This is a boarding school so there will be plenty chance to talk to local teenagers and exchange stories.
Day 13: The group will explore the Ruaha National Park on safari.
Day 14-15: Travel to the coast and relax on the beaches south of Dar Es Salaam.
Day 16: Travel back to Scotland on an evening flight from Dar Es Salaam
Day: 17-18: Arrive in Scotland and recover. We travel home on the 13th July via the Mallaig ferry.
