Outcomes

Outcome 1 – Describe the main factors influencing website development.

  1. Describe factors that affect the performance and viewing of websites.
  2. Describe the role and functions of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
  3. Describe a range of web development tools. (text editor, graphics programs, authoring software)

Outcome 2 – Plan and design a website to meet a given brief.

  1. Produce a requirements list from the brief.
  2. Produce an outline design for the website.
  3. Create a navigational structure for the website.
  4. Produce a resources list.

Outcome 3 – Produce a website from the design specification using appropriate software tools.

  1. Produce a template web page that will provide consistent layout and formatting throughout the website.
  2. Produce the completed website using the template.

Outcome 4 – Upload and test the website.

  1. Upload the website to a server.
  2. Produce a test plan.
  3. Implement the test plan for the website.
  4. Log the test results and resolve any identified errors.

Remember you will need to provide evidence to pass each of the numbered points to pass the outcome.
