Communication With Your Assessor

  • Your assessor is there to help, support and guide you through your qualification.
  • Your assessor will adapt assessment plans to suit your current needs.
  • Your assessor will work closely with you at all times throughout the apprenticeship.
  • Your assessor wants you to ask questions, there is NO such thing as a stupid question! Don’t be afraid to ask.
  • The assessor will give you regular feedback on your progress.
  • Reviews will be carried out regularly.

Candidate or Centre Malpractice

Candidates involved in an investigation of malpractice will not be resulted for the assessments in question until the investigation is completed.

Examples of malpractice:

  • Plagiarism
  • Collusion with others
  • Copying from another candidate
  • Inclusion of inappropriate, offensive, discriminatory or obscene material in assessment evidence.
  • Claiming AI generated material or code as your own work

A candidate’s evidence gathering responsibilities include the following:

  • Ensure the evidence produced is VALID, AUTHENTIC, RELIABLE, CURRENT & SUFFICIENT.
  • Keep the assessor advised of any difficulties they are having.
  • Ensure honesty and ownership of the entire evidence produced, thus avoiding anything that may be construed as candidate malpractice.

Appeals & complaints procedure

Candidate raises concerns with the assessor and an agreement is made -> Internal Verifier makes decision -> Management Committee -> External Verifier makes decision
