Busy Gardeners!

It’s that time of year again when some of our lovely learners from SfL are starting to prepare the garden again for the new season! They have been out there a few times now in preparation! The Courtyard garden is at the centre of our school, and easily accessible for all our learners S1 -S6. It was started last year in one small area. It won’t all be developed this year, but with small chunks of it at at time, it will be manageable for different classes, with view to eventually having it all developed and up and running. A lot of work is needing to be done but we’re up for the challenge!

People Who Are Important To Us

Last June 2024, the pupils in our Support for Learning Department have had a busy few weeks getting out into the community as part of their new topic “people who are important to us”.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who made our pupils feel so welcome, placing lots of time and effort into showing us all around. Pupils had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed it (so did the staff, who also learnt a lot!).

We want to thank everyone at Benbecula Fire Station, SSE Loch Carnan Depot, Lochmady Calmac offices, Lochmaddy hall expedition, Balivanich Police Station, local shops and Cnoc Soilleir in Daliburgh.

We have many more places to visit next session, so watch out for us out there!
