Room 2 have been busy working on Anti-bullying Awareness this week. They have looked at a presentation on Bullying and looked at the different aims of Anti-bullying Awareness. The pupils then discussed the main points in break-out groups and wrote their own rules which would ensure respect and positive friendships.
The Homework Club will start next Wednesday from 3.30pm to 4.30pm, for P3-7 pupils. This club will run on a weekly basis for the foreseeable future.
The Bookbug came to visit the school earlier this week. He visited all the classes and the Sgoil-Araich to tell them that they would be receiving Book Bags this month, during Book Week Scotland.
Primary 1 pupils will get a family bag to take home and Primary 2 and 3 will get a ‘Read, Write and Count’ bag.
We are very excited for Book Week Scotland and can’t wait to hand the bags out to our pupils!
Sgoil Dhalabroig was celebrating Outdoor Classroom Day today!
Room 2 were busy creating an obstacle course, which they then completed, in the courtyard, followed by a human knot to warm things up.
They then went around the school grounds on a Shape Hunt. They have been busy learning about 2D and 3D shapes and went on a mission to see if they could spot any shapes within their school environment!
Lots of fun was had by all!!
Some of our pupils visited Sacred Heart House this afternoon to say hello to the residents. They danced and sang their hearts out! We even had time for the residents to join in to a song of their choosing. A great time was had by all. We’ll be back soon!

Healthy Eating Topic
As part of our whole school healthy eating topic the catering manager for Uist and Barra, Màiri Boyle, visited the pupils. She shared information about her job,, and the tasks that she carries out. The pupils learned a great deal about the rules and recommendations that the school menu must adhere to, and it was a good chance to reflect on how lucky we are that such tasty, healthy homecooked meals are provided every day in our school.
