As part of our La na Gaidhlig on Wednesday 21st November, we would like to invite parents, grandparents and the wider community to a Ceilidh in the school at 2.00pm.
Tha Rum 1 air a bhith trang an t-seachdain seo ag obair air na diofar dhoighar san urrain dhuinn a bhith coir agus laghadh ri na daoine mun cuairt oirnn.
Lots of class discussion has been going on this week in Room 1 about respect, feelings and how we treat others.
We designed our own handprints to show five different ways that we can be kind and respectful to one and other.
We also made ‘friendship flowers’. Here we had to think of 2 good things about ourselves and write them in 2 petals. The other 3 were filled in by 3 friends in our class.
Room 2 have been busy working on Anti-bullying Awareness this week. They have looked at a presentation on Bullying and looked at the different aims of Anti-bullying Awareness. The pupils then discussed the main points in break-out groups and wrote their own rules which would ensure respect and positive friendships.
Tha Rùm 1 agus 5 air a bhith ag obair còmhla air na sgilean leughaidh aca. Deagh dhoigh airson misneachd a bhrosnachadh!
Rooms 1 and 5 have been doing some paired reading. This is such a great way for both classes to develop their reading skills and gain in confidence when reading!
P4-7 singed into a VScene link today to listen to and interact with Design Engineer, John Ritchie of 4C Design, as he told live via the internet:
“I am an Engineer – this is what I do”
They had a great time and found out some really interesting facts about the world of engineering.
