He organised a minibeast hunt in the local woodlands for the P1-3 pupils.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;We went on a bear hunt in these woods, &#8220;Let&#8217;s explore!&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wpa-warning wpa-image-missing-alt alignnone size-full wp-image-1283\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/es\/public\/outdoorlearning\/uploads\/sites\/3628\/2025\/01\/08171633\/thumbnail_IMG_6762.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"481\" height=\"640\" data-warning=\"Missing alt text\" \/><\/div>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wpa-warning wpa-image-missing-alt alignnone size-full wp-image-1282\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/es\/public\/outdoorlearning\/uploads\/sites\/3628\/2025\/01\/08171631\/thumbnail_IMG_6749.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"481\" height=\"640\" data-warning=\"Missing alt text\" \/><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>They gathered to talk about the woodlands; how to be safe, responsible, and how the area might impact the local community and the wider environment. The young people were provided with a minibeast checklist and pen, magnifying glasses and containers, and in small teams were asked to explore the woodlands to record the minibeasts they discovered.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Help me lift this up&#8221;, &#8220;Look, a slater&#8221;, &#8220;I&#8217;ve got it in the tub&#8221;.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wpa-warning wpa-image-missing-alt alignnone size-full wp-image-1284\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/es\/public\/outdoorlearning\/uploads\/sites\/3628\/2025\/01\/08171634\/thumbnail_IMG_6771.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"481\" height=\"640\" data-warning=\"Missing alt text\" \/><\/div>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wpa-warning wpa-image-missing-alt alignnone size-full wp-image-1286\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/es\/public\/outdoorlearning\/uploads\/sites\/3628\/2025\/01\/08171637\/thumbnail_IMG_6776-rotated.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" data-warning=\"Missing alt text\" \/><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The young people engaged fully in the activity, sharing the equipment and celebrating each minibeast discovery made by their team.
