An Gàrradh Beag – Pocket Garden

A Pocket Garden is a miniature garden that uses edible plants, plants that attract wildlife, and that reuses something which would otherwise have been thrown away.

Each year, young people from schools across Scotland are invited to send in their designs for a colourful and exciting environmentally friendly, pocket-sized garden. Pupils who send in the winning designs are then invited to build and grow their gardens to display.

This year two designs were entered by the school children and both designs were chosen to go through the initial voting onto the online showcase which resulted in a first and a third place .  Below are the two designs and if you follow this link you will see more information about the designs and a video for each of the gardens.
