Laxdale Primary School is situated in the village of Laxdale. The catchment area includes: Newmarket, Benside, Bakers Road, Newvalley, Napier Hill, Laxdale, Bennadrove, Marybank, and Maryhill. We currently have a roll of 147.

The school caters for children from Primary 1 to Primary 7 and includes provision for Gaelic Medium Education. The school is non-denominational.

The school has responsibility for Sgoil Araich Lacasdail and Laxdale Nursery. These groups are situated in, and benefiting from, brand new classrooms in our school extension. 

The group has twenty 2-5 year old children. They meet and engage regularly in joint learning sessions with the Primary 1 classes. 

The Sgoil Araich / Nursery is open every day from 8.30a.m. – 5.30p.m.
