That&#8217;s the same level of learning as an SQA Higher, which is SCQF Level 6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your qualification includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Level 6<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a National Progression Award (NPA) in Creative and Digital Media at SCQF Level 6<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>core units of a Diploma in Creative Digital Media at SCQF Level 7<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a media project unit at SCQF Level 6<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a work placement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What will I learn?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of your National Progression award, your topics will include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Creative Industries: An Introduction \u2013 Scotland<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creative Industries: Understanding a Creative Brief<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Media: Understanding the Creative Process<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Storytelling for the Creative Industries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For your Diploma units, you\u2019ll be assessed as part of your work placement. You\u2019ll learn how to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>work with others in the creative industries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>communicate using digital marketing\/sales channels<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>use digital and social media in marketing campaigns<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Your Foundation Apprenticeship will also help you to develop meta-skills. Employers value these skills, which include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>communication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>problem-solving<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>working with others<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>time management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You&#8217;ll need these transferable skills for working in a range of other related jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where could it take me?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your Foundation Apprenticeship gives you lots of options, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Modern Apprenticeship:&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;When you complete your Foundation Apprenticeship, you\u2019ll have achieved core units of the Modern Apprenticeship in Creative and Digital Media. You\u2019ll have the right skills and experience to do a related Modern Apprenticeship. These could include Creative and Cultural or Digital Applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>further education:&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;Continue your studies at college with an HNC or HND in a creative or digital subject. Your workplace experience will support your college application.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>university:&nbsp;<\/strong>All Scottish universities recognise Foundation Apprenticeships as equal to SQA Highers. You\u2019ll already have experience in the industry \u2013 this will make your UCAS stand out from the crowd.
