That&#8217;s the same level of learning as a National 4 or National 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Level 4<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>National Progression Award in Construction Skills at SCQF Level 4<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>work-based challenge unit at SCQF Level 4<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Level 5<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>National Progression Award in Construction Skills at SCQF Level 5<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>work-based challenge unit at SCQF Level 5<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What will I learn?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your National Progression award will cover a variety of units and may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>built environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3D modelling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>carpentry and bench joinery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>painting and decorating<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You&#8217;ll use the skills and knowledge you develop to complete the work-based challenge unit. You&#8217;ll:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>work closely with an employer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>deliver your project to a real-life client<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>get an understanding of the construction sector<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Your Foundation Apprenticeship will also help you to develop meta-skills. Employers value these skills, which include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>self-management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>social intelligence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>innovation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You&#8217;ll need these transferable skills for working in a range of other related jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where could it take me?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your Foundation Apprenticeship gives you lots of options, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Modern Apprenticeship:&nbsp;<\/strong>When you complete your Foundation Apprenticeship, you can move to a Modern Apprenticeship at SCQF Level 5 or 6.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>further education:&nbsp;<\/strong>Continue your studies at college with a related subject.
