I do hope that you find this blog useful and informative. It has been set up following feedback from service users and other stakeholders. The menu headings above provide access to relevant information.
The Scottish Government has indicated that all schools in Scotland will open on 11 August 2020 as part of “Phase 3”. This will only happen when they have provided us with specific scientific and medical advice.
We are working within the guidance provided to enable as many pupils as possible to return to school and benefit from in-school learning. This will not be on a full-time basis and a blended learning approach is likely to continue up to the October 2020 break and possibly to the end of the calendar year.
I am aware that parents may have questions in relation to the Education, Skills and Children’s Services Department response to this. We have added a new page called “Phase 3 Blended Learning Model” which we will update as information becomes available. This page can be accessed through the menu bar above.
You can also use this Blog to ask any other questions that you may have by selecting the Phase 3 Blended Learning Model post on the left hand side of this page under “Recent Posts” and put your question in the comments box. Responses to your questions will appear under your post.
Updates on what I and other Officers in the Department have done to respond to issues raised by yourselves are listed under “Recent Posts” on the left side of this page.
Director of Education, Skills and Children’s Services,
