Tuesday’s News

So fa we are having fun. Today lots of people overcame their fears doing the leap of faith and the nightline was really fun and we were communicating whilst doing it-but we were all blindfolded-so that was scary!, but fun. Later on tonight, we are going to a campfire and playing games and doing lots of stuff. That’s it for now, bye 😉

Comments Today

So far today, we have done so much like; Low ropes, Outdoor climbing, Orienteering and High ropes-that was by far the scariest. The weather has been really nice and sunny today. The food was really nice today-escpecially dinner, it was Roast chicken/Roast beef, carrots yorkshire puddings, and roast potatoes-it was really tasty. Later on we have another activity which is Mini Olympics, it has stuff like relay races and running races, that should be fun. Well, that’s all for now, bye;)

Pupils comments earlier today!

The journey dragged on a bit but it was good to finally reach the centre. Haven’t done very many activities today but we are looking forward to participating in the various events througout the week. The bus journey was slow, I should have taken the bike!

We are hoping that the weather will be nice and that we will be able to enjoy all the activities as much as possible. We are aiming to conquer all of the challenges that we are faced with. We expect to have lots os fun and hope to take a lot away from this experience.

Hey guys, just to let you know how we are getting on.

First of all, the journey was really long yesterday, but we stopped twice for a break and something to eat. We got to the Kingswood center at 9:00pm, I was shattered! And to make that worse, we had to make our own beds, but first we went to the centre for soup and sandwiches, the soup was ok. This morning we got up at aound 7:00am and we had breakfast which was really good-I had bacon and a crusty roll- yummy. Today we have just been taking things easy, but for the rest of the week we will be rushed off our feet. That’s it for now, bye 🙂

S2 Kingswood Trip

Thursday 31st May 2012

Welcome to our blog. We hope to be posting on this blog each day of the trip to let you know what we are up to each day.

Final preparations are well underway and I hope pupils are looking forward to the week ahead. I’m hoping for a calm ferry crossing and comfortable seats on the coach. The recent weather on Lewis has been fantastic but with a long coach journey ahead, I’m hoping for slightly cooler temperatures. Happy packing to all pupils and parents. You can find a copy of the packing list on the Dearne Valley Centre website – follow the link and look at in the parents’ section of the site. You will also find a sample menu and other useful information.
