Projects could include: creating sounds for a video game, creating a podcast, recording and editing a rock band, designing sound effects for an audiobook\/play, electronic music composition.<\/p>\n<p>Understanding 20<sup>th<\/sup> and 21<sup>st<\/sup> Century Music \u2013 exploring a range of musical styles and the technological developments through the decades<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL LESSON<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What can I expect:-<\/p>\n<p>Individual and group practical work<\/p>\n<p>Working in recording studio environments<\/p>\n<p>Using a wide range of ICT and software, including MixCraft<\/p>\n<p>Interactive listening lessons exploring rock, pop, blues, jazz, electronic dance music, and more.<\/p>\n<p>Specialist use of professional-level equipment, microphones and software<\/p>\n<p>Opportunities to develop skills in real-life scenarios, including sound engineering for school productions and events.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HOW WILL IT BE ASSESSED?\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In addition to formal assessments, pupils peer and self-assess throughout the course<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Music Technology Skills<\/strong><\/em><strong><em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong>Throughout S3 and S4 we will assess specific skills through short tasks in which a criteria has to be met.
