P6 Squash

Our new primary 6’s are currently enjoying a block of squash tuition, which is being delivered by a top ranked Scottish player, what a privilege!
At Carolside we have a group of excellent squash players who play nationally. Hopefully these coaching sessions will inspire a few more to take up the sport!

P7 Football Game Against Netherlee

football_2558845b

The P7 boy’s football team was in action recently taking on Netherlee Primary School. Sadly, our boys lost the game 8-5 but I was very proud of how they came back into the game after loosing three goals very quickly. We will continue to work hard and keep raising our performance. Thanks to all the parents for coming out and supporting.

Nathan was man of the match for us, he put in a great effort.

P7 Netball – Cluster Competition

On Wednesday 23rd March, Carolside participated in the cluster netball competition at Williamwood High School, organised by Mr Quinn, our Active Schools Coordinator. The P7 netballers rose to the occasion, displaying excellent team work, passing and defending. They were able to take advantage of the extra space in the gym hall at Williamwood, despite it being a little daunting to begin with! Our P7s displayed great sporting attitudes throughout and were very proud of coming second in the tournament. The P7 teachers have really enjoyed running the netball club and are looking forward to more success next term.

Carolside V Netherlee Netball Game

On Tuesday 15th March, Carolside and Netherlee enjoyed the first P7 netball competition of the year. Carolside welcomed Netherlee’s P7 netball team, along with Mrs Miller. The standard of play was very high, with lots of great passing, super team work and a high number of goals! The P7s really enjoyed their first cluster competition and the staff were very impressed with the sporting attitudes displayed by the children. We look forward to seeing the same high standard of play at the cluster competition at Williamwood.
