We would love to see you there – faces new and old are always welcome!

The positions available are: Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. We are also looking to appoint committee members and class reps.  We are also looking for volunteers to support our Fundraising sub-group, that will operate and meet outwith the formal PC meetings

If you would like to be considered for any of these roles, and would like more information, please reply to this email.

If you have any issues or questions for us to present to the school, please can these be sent no later than Fri 1st Sept.

Finally, can I also take this opportunity to carry out some admin and ask anyone receiving this mail that wishes to be removed from the mailing list please reply and I will delete your details.

Thank you

Kind Regards,

Laura Brookman

Parental Consultation

Dear Parent,

The Parent Council recently received an invitation to respond to a consultation from the Scottish Government regarding a Scottish Parliament Members Bill Consultation into the Proposed Restricted Roads (20mph Limit) (Scotland) Bill. The bill proposes reducing the default speed limit in urban and residential areas from 30mph to 20mph, which would have an impact on schools and in particular families who walk or cycle to school.

The Bill was discussed at the Parent Council Meeting on Tuesday 13th June 2017 and there was unanimous agreement to submit a letter to the Government on behalf of the Parent Council and Parent Forum in support of this Bill. Please could I ask you to review the consultation and the attached letter of support. If you have any concerns with supporting this Bill, please could you email by Friday 30th June. Following this date the letter will be submitted to the Scottish Government on behalf of Busby Parent Council and Parent Forum.

Individuals may also send any other comments, or responses via the contact details below:

It is also possible to submit your response electronically by sending them to:

Christmas Fayre

Come along and help Santa by practising your Santa Skills. Prepare for Xmas Eve by making your advent calendar, making hot chocolate, magic reindeer food, and posting your letter to Santa. Spread some Xmas cheer by making a decoration, making a chocolate crispie Xmas tree, making a Xmas card or even by making your own snowman! If that’s not enough you can challenge yourself to fill the present sack, carry presents and deliver presents across our obstacle course and win prizes. We also have a great photo booth for you to do Xmas selfies, tombolas, and an amazing raffle with X Factor tickets to win!

Of course you can visit Santa in his grotto to show off your Santa skills – he might just have a present for you too 😉 After all that relax with a cup of tea and some home baking and listen to some Xmas tunes. Come along and begin your festive celebrations with us.  Everyone welcome.
