The Advanced Higher Geography pupils arrived safely in Arran this week for their annual field trip. Williamwood were joined with S6 students from Mearns Castle, St Luke’s and Eastwood.
Thanks very much to the campus police officer PC Mitchell for giving a very informative presentation about the role of the police to S3 pupils. Modern Studies students will be able to use this valuable information for their S3 exams.
The new S1 pupils made some fantastic trench models as part of their War unit in Social Subjects this week. More pictures of the cakes can be found on the History page.
Geography pupils got the chance to experience holding different species of owl while learning about their changing habitats as part of their S2 course today.
S2 pupils have been enjoying testing the skills they have learned in Social Subjects over the past two years with mock elections this week. The pupils will move into S3 in June when they focus on one subject for the next two years – enjoy!
Well done to the Social Subjects club who organised a successful Fair Trade lunch last week. As well as sampling some Fair Trade products, the group also gave a very informative presentation to pupils in the Communication Support Service.
Thank you to Paul Masterton MP for a very informative Q&A session at Williamwood today. Higher Politics and Modern Studies pupils will be using this as research for their upcoming exams and his insight will be extremely useful.
