Well done to the S4-S6 pupils who took part in the Hutchesons’ Grammar School Model United Nations conference. A great day was had by all and special thanks to Mr McDougall, the pupils and staff there for a well-organised and enjoyable morning of debate. Winners of best delgate from Williamwood went to Eilidh (Indonesia) in Economy, Michael (Russia) in Disarmament, Kirsty (Russia) in Security and Molly (Russia) in the Health Committee – congratulations on your certificates!

Glasgow Girls
S2 Social Subjects pupils had a great day out at the MacRoberts Art Centre in Stirling to see the Glasgow Girls. The play tells of the story of six teenagers who successfully campaigned for their asylum seeker classmates not to be deported back to war torn countries. The production which was put on free of charge for school pupils will no doubt help modern studies pupils make sense of the current refugee crisis when studying the Freedom course. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6jl2f8pPFg
