Well done to all the boys and girls for their amazing assembly today. We hope all the parents loved it too. Our assembly shared some our learning from this term. We talked about light and dark, the sun and moon, day and night, fireworks, fire safety, 2D shape and 3D objects, poetry and some interesting fireworks vocabulary. We have been very busy!
As STEM WEEK gets going, we have been thinking and learning all about our eyes, their shape and how we use them. We made our own eyeballs…
“Eyes are for looking.”
“That’s the pupil.” “It’s a hole”
If it’s too sunny… “I put my hand above my eye like this.”
“I put my hands over my eyes.”
“You can wear sunglasses.”
“If you’re cooking something with onions, your eyes cry.”
“People who can’t see have to feel.”
Busby Nursery entered The Busby and Clarkston Annual Flower Show. We were delighted to receive Second prize for making a fruit and vegetable animal. We used potatoes, raisins, apples, pens and sticks. For our third prize we gathered wild flowers from our field and pressed them in books and then mounted them on card.
