Our rhyme of the week is Incy Wincy Spider
Incy wincy spider climbed up the water spout.
Down came the rain and washed the spider out.
Out came the sunshine and dried up all the rain.
So incy wincy spider climbed up the spout again.
Did you know there is a second verse?
Home: If you don’t know this one you could practice it at home.
Incy wincy spider climbed up the tree.
Down came the snow and made poor incy freeze.
Out came the sunshine and melted all the snow.
So incy wincy spider had another go.
We are off on Friday 27th May, Monday 30th May and it is an inservice day on Tuesday 31st May.
Nursery will return as normal on Wednesday 1st June.
We are in search of metal teapots for our role play area. If you have a metal teapot and you are willing to let us borrow it please speak to a member of staff. It’s much appreciated.
“I’m late, I’m late for a very important date!”
We have changed our focus for learning from Dr Seuss to Alice in Wonderland.
Today we are making tablecloths for our Mad Hatter’s Tea Party which will be happening in weeks to come.
Home: If you have the film Alice in Wonderland at home or the story book why not read/watch it. Or have a tea party with a snack maybe inviting teddy bears too.
A quick reminder that we have the Photographer in on Wednesday to take pictures of all the children in the Nursery. If you want a picture with your child and their sibling, could you please bring back the purple form given out last week.
We would really appreciate if anyone could bring in some home baking on Friday 3rd June, for Sumer Fayre on Sunday 5th June.
The Dentist is visiting the Nursery today for the Ante Pre-schoolers.
Home: Why not try talking about the dentist and why we go there. Try counting the children’s teeth when brushing them. Or singing some toothbrushing songs to make toothbrushing fun!
Just a quick reminder that the orders for the tea towels need to be in by Friday 20th May (this Friday coming).
Our rhyme of the week is: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (fish alive)
1, 2 3, 4, 5, once I caught a fish alive.
6, 7, 8, 9, 10
then I let it go again.
Why did you let it go?
Because it bit my finger so!
Which finger did it bite?
This little finger on my right.
Our rhyme of the week is, Little Miss Muffet.
Little Miss Muffet
Sat on her tuffet
Eating her curds and whey
Along came a spider
Who sat down beside her
And frightened Miss Muffet away.
