Through studying Administration you will also be developing your literacy, numeracy, digital and problem solving skills.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Senior Phase<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In your senior phase you will have chosen to specialise in Administration and IT and will continue to develop an understanding of the use Microsoft packages such as Excel, word and Access, including the use of programs such as Outlook and PowerPoint. You will also cover theory topics relating to Administration.<\/p>\n<p>As part of their final SQA assessment pupils will complete a practical assignment using Microsoft packages and also a written theory question paper.<\/p>\n<p><strong>S4 Administration and IT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This course is practical with a 70 mark assignment and 40 mark exam. Pupils will mostly be using the computers to practice their IT and problem solving skills, with theory elements built into the course.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Higher Administration <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This course consists of a practical assignment worth 70 marks and an end written exam based on theory which is worth 50 marks.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"ttfmp-panels-item-content-panels-item_188\" class=\"ttfmp-panels-item-content\">\n<h2>Learning Experiences<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Pupils will be engaged through creative and dynamic teaching methods.<\/li>\n<li>Pupils will be taught by their classroom teacher using live demonstrations of the IT skills being developed<\/li>\n<li>Pupils will be given opportunities to work collaboratively and learn from each other.<\/li>\n<li>Pupils will be provided with resources on Google Classroom to support at home consolidation.<\/li>\n<li>Pupils will be supported by their class teacher and will have various opportunities to attend supported study throughout the year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"ttfmp-panels-item-content-panels-item_189\" class=\"ttfmp-panels-item-content\">\n<h2>Life and Work<\/h2>\n<p>This subject will foster problem solving skills as pupils learn to address real world challenges by using MS Office Packages to plan and organise events, creating and editing professional documents. These are valuable skills which will be transferable to other school subject, world of work and further education.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Skills developed through Administration &amp; IT include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Problem solving<\/li>\n<li>Team working<\/li>\n<li>Analytical<\/li>\n<li>Creativity<\/li>\n<li>Evaluation<\/li>\n<li>Numeracy<\/li>\n<li>Information handling and processing<\/li>\n<li>Organisational skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Pupils will develop problem solving skills, attention to detail and accuracy, whilst creating and editing professional documents using MS Office Packages.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"ttfmp-panels-item-content-panels-item_190\" class=\"ttfmp-panels-item-content\">\n<h2>Resources<\/h2>\n<p>All classroom resources will be posted on relevant Google classrooms from S1 \u2013 S6.
