Science

Overview

Science is the study of the world around us by observing and learning how things work. Within the Science faculty at Woodfarm, pupils will explore different aspects of biology, chemistry and physics as part of their Broad General Education, before personalising their curriculum in S3 and beyond.

While studying science at Woodfarm, pupils will develop a solid foundation in scientific knowledge and skills through a range of collaborative and investigative activities. Staff will use their expertise to provide engaging, challenging and meaningful science experiences to pupils that will ignite their curiosity and foster a lifelong love for the subject. Pupils will be encouraged to take leadership of their learning through links to real life applications of science, inspiring ambition in the classroom and in future careers.
