On Monday, we went to the forest and we took our boats. We put our boats into the water and watched them float or sink!

Most of them were able to float down the stream.

When we got back to school, we evaluated our boats and we took them home to share with our families.

This week was World of Work Week. We were very lucky to have some visitors come into our class and tell us about their jobs.  Our first visitor was a lecturer in TV production.  He brought his camera, microphone, headphones and a bright light.  We made a video of what we wanted to be when we grew up.

Our next visitor was a music teacher called Claire. She taught us how to warm up our voices and then she taught u a song  Look out XFactor!

Today we had an engineer tell us about her job. She told us all about artificial intelligence.  Later today, we will have a visit from a park ranger and also a heart surgeon.  We are looking very forward to these!

This week in writing we wrote a Spring Senses poem. We thought about what we could hear, see, touch, taste and smell during Spring.  We also tried to add in adjectives and adverbs to make our poems more interesting.  Here’s an example:

Spring looks like fluffy lambs running in the beautiful fresh grass.

Spring sounds like bees buzzing quickly around me.

Spring feels like soft chicks sitting in my hands.

Spring smells like beautiful flowers.

Spring tastes like ice cream melting quickly down my throat.

We hope you have a lovely weekend 🙂
