This week our writing focus was an imaginative recount. We wrote about our first day on the Titanic. We described what we could see, hear and how we felt. We can’t wait to finish these next week and hopefully share them with you.
During social studies, we looked at pictures of upper and lower class passengers. We made suitcases for their trip on the Titanic. We had to think carefully about the items that they would have brought with them.
Yesterday we took part in a Fairtrade competition. We had to design a shopping bag. We researched different Fairtrade items that we could buy in the supermarket. Fingers crossed one of us will be the lucky winner!
We have been math superstars this week! One thing we have enjoyed doing was adding and subtracting 10 using our 100 square. We are very quick at completing these calculations now!
Please continuing commenting on our work, we love replying to you!
Another busy week! Orla has told us all about the story writing – we can’t wait to read her story at Parents Night.
Thank you Orla’s mummy, we have been very hard on our story writing for you all to read at parents’ evening – Asher 🙂
Well done Primary 2B on a fantastic week. Ellis has been telling me all about the titanic and has been learning more about the tragic story in her spare time.
Thank you Mr Reilly. We are enjoying the topic! Did you know that the Titanic sank on 14th April 1912 in the North Atlantic Ocean? – Macie 🙂
2b, it’s so clear how much you’ve enjoyed the Titanic project – I think you all must be Titanic experts! Keep up the excellent learning – well done! 👍👍🙌🙌🤓🤓🤩🤩
Thank you Fergus’ mummy! We think we are experts too! Fun fact – did you know that there was a passenger called ‘The Unsinkable Molly Brown’? She helped the people in her lifeboat (lifeboat 6) to survive. She kept them rowing and gave people her fur coats to keep them warm. – Yash 🙂

Thank you for your comment Jordan’s mummy. Fun fact – did you know that the Titanic was the biggest ship in 1912 however cruise ships nowadays are 5 times bigger? – Aidan 🙂
