This week we have been learning lots through play. We made a Santa’s workshop in our classroom.  At one station we made snowflakes to hang beside our window.  At another station we made toys using wood and then we wrapped the toys, ready to go on Santa’s sleigh!  We also wrote letters to Santa… we hope he sees them on his Santa cam!

A large group of P2b have been attending Miss Hillhouse’s prayer service every morning during Advent. It is a lovely way to start our day.

This afternoon we will be having our Christmas parties. We are very excited and can’t wait to get our dancing shoes on!

Our Christmas show rehearsals are in full swing! We cannot wait to perform for all of our families this afternoon.

Our elf Jingles went missing. We thought he was on an adventure. We wrote an imaginative story about what we thought he might be doing.  In order to find him, we made MISSING posters.  Jingles came back this morning! Yay!

During the month of Advent we have been praying to God. We made an Advent promise that we will think about during this month.  We also listened to the Nativity story in RE and wrote about it in our jotters.

What a busy week we have had!

This week we received our book bags and our parents were invited in to our classroom to read with us and play some games. We had lots of fun together.

On Thursday we celebrated the patron saint of Scotland – St Andrew. We learned that he was a disciple and went around the world telling people about Jesus.

On Friday, Mr Campbell delivered a box to our classroom. It was from the North Pole.  Santa has sent an elf to watch over us.  We decided to call him Jingles.  There was a poster and a letter from Santa.  He also gave us a magic elf door and a Santa camera. We wonder what our elf will get up to!
