February

Nearly the end of February already!? What a month. P4C have been enjoying learning all about Ancient Egpyt from hieroglyphics to King Tutankhamun’s reign to Cleopatra! With Fairtrade fortnight in full swing, we have been discussing fairtrade items, specifically chocolate and this links to our class novel ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.’ We have been involved in drama roleplays using the characters from the story and in our writing, we have created diary entries. We have looked at some famous artists such as Wassily Kandinsky, Rennie Mackintosh and illustrator Quentin Blake! We recreated some of Quentin Blake’s art-work from the book. We have been taking part in a chocolate hunt each week, where the children hunt for chocolate bars…with a lucky few winning the golden tickets! We have also been learning about playscripts and short films.

We are looking forward to our learning assembly on Thursday 12th March to showcase our learning. See you soon!
