Hello!
We are the Rights Respecting Schools (RRS) Ambassadors. We have a RRS committee to provide the St. Cadoc’s pupils with a full understanding about children’s rights. This year, our goal is to reach Gold by February 2022; we are very proud of our journey to Silver so far, but we are eager to build on this! Our committee aims to create and deliver presentations to educate them about problems around the world that people may be facing. We are doing this so that we can be informed St. Cadoc’s pupils and able to make a change. We have red Voice boxes for pupils to put their suggestions in to try to initiate change. It is important to us that they are able use their voice – that it’s heard and understood. Mrs McBride wants to hear from her pupils and use our ideas to help to make her decisions. Each week, the committee collects and sorts through the suggestions to pick out the sensible ones to then share with Mrs McBride.
Our school values are LARK – this stands for Love, Achieve, Respect, and Kindness. Our most important job as Rights Ambassadors is to instil these qualities in our pupils.
