Applican’s Medicine Practical Afternoon Course

Applican’s Medicine Practical Afternoon Course which will take place this year on the 24th March from 12-4pm, at the University of Strathclyde. The taster afternoon would be suitable for S5 pupils, and will cover a range of topics relating to medicine and the medical school application process.

To cover the costs of the event, pupil’s are asked to pay£5 for the session.

For the last 2 years this event has been fully booked and we operate at first come first served with a waiting list – therefore we would highly recommend your pupils sign up as soon as possible!

The itinerary for the afternoon is as follows:

12pm – 1pm: Entry to medicine, Personal Statements

1pm – 1:45pm: Situational Judgement UKCAT Teaching

1:45pm – 2pm: Quick break and snacks!

2pm – 3:45pm: First Aid, Anatomy, History taking, Blood pressure, Stethoscope workshops.

3:45 – 4pm: Questions and Answers.
