Welcome to St Ninian’s High School Parent Council. We are a committee appointed by the Parent Forum to run matters on behalf of all parents/carers who have a child at the school – known as the Parent Forum. It is not run by the school or local authority, rather by the parents in the school.
What does the Parent Council do?
- Improve links between all parents/carers and the school.
- Ensure parents receive the information they need in an accessible way, and that school staff receives feedback on parents’ views.
- Discuss issues of interest to parents, i.e. school policies.
- Optimise parental involvement in their children’s learning.
- Represent parents’ views to the education authority and others on issues that are a concern to parents, pupils and staff.
