Due to the size of the commitment it usually takes both years to complete.<\/p>\n<p>The cost of the award in 2025\/26 will be \u00a364.50 registration and \u00a3250 for the expedition.<\/p>\n<p>All levels of the award see young people completing three sections in their own time. Young people are expected to spend roughly an hour on each section each week. It can however, not be any direct family member.<\/p>\n<p>At St Ninian&#8217;s all participants are placed in their expedition groups (7 young people) at the start of the year. Every group is assigned a staff or young leader who will help them through the process.<\/p>\n<p>Gold Expeditions usually take place during the summer and can be completed following either S5 or S6.
