In 2025 it will take place on:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Set 1: Thursday 12th March Period 1-4<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Set 2: Thursday 26th March Period 1-4<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Young People should arrive at the forum at 8:45am. The training will take period 1-4. Young people should wear their PE kit. Training will take place outdoors if weather allows. They should bring their uniform to get changed before their period 5 class.<\/p>\n<p>The following areas will be covered:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Navigation (map and compass)<\/li>\n<li>Following a route card<\/li>\n<li>Basic First Aid<\/li>\n<li>Trangia cooking<\/li>\n<li>Tent building and packing<\/li>\n<li>Rucksack packing<\/li>\n<li>Expedition aim and presentation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1><b>Kit Issue<\/b><\/h1>\n<p>Prior to the expeditions participants will be issued their group kit, some personal kit can also be borrowed, all details are overleaf.<\/p>\n<p>A <b>\u00a350 deposit <\/b>will be required on the day and will be returned to you when the kit is returned. Please provide this as cash or a cheque made out to ERC <b>in a sealed envelope with name and alpha class on the front.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>It is the participants\u2019 responsibility to return the kit <b>clean and dry<\/b> or charges will be made if they fail to do so. Please hang tents and any other wet kit out to dry within 24 hour of returning from the expedition.<\/p>\n<p>Charges:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Not turning up on agreed kit return date \u00a310<\/li>\n<li>Wet Tent \u00a320<\/li>\n<li>Stove not clean \u00a310<\/li>\n<li>Rucksack wet\/dirty \u00a310<\/li>\n<li>Sleeping Bag wet\/dirty \u00a310<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Group Kit<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Where possible participants should try and arrive at the kit issue with the other members of your tent group.
