January in P2a

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to update you on our learning since we came back to school after the holiday.

We had lots of fun completing a scientific investigation. We were looking at materials and predicting if they were waterproof or not and then testing our predictions. We have also created a space areas in our classroom. We have got planets and have been making star constellations out of marshmallows and spaghetti.

We have been working on ‘wh’ words in literacy. We have also been developing our writing skills. We love writing books! This week we wrote acrostic poems about Winter. We have been reading lots in class.

In maths we have been working hard on money. We are learning to use the correct coins to pay for items. We are looking forward to practising this at home and in the shops.

In French we have been learning to talk about our house and all the different parts of it. We can tell you how to say windows and doors in French.

We are continuing to work hard on our targets and we loving building things in the construction area. We are now very good at tidy up quickly.

From Primary 2a.
