Primary 3b have had a fantastic STEM Week. We have carried out different experiments. We have made marshmallow and stick igloos to show our understanding of different structures. We particulary loved the Dancing Raisins experiment. It was very exciting to watch chemical reactions. Today, we even made slime using glue, baking soda and shaving foam! As our Science topic is Forces, we each had a little playdough and we had to demonstrate ways to pull, push and twist it while following the directions on the powerpoint. As an added extra, we used our playdough to relax us during our mindfulness session.
We have also been really excited because we have a brand new interactive board in our classroom. Mrs Bovaird loves it! It’s so big and the sound and pictures are fabulous. We can’t wait to play even more interactive games and activities on it.
Tomorrow, we are going to have a visitor who is going to tell us all about air traffic control. It sounds like a really exciting job. We are also going to make small celtic roundhouses and daggers with celtic patterns. We can’t wait to show you them on the day we finish for our Easter holidays.
