Our learning in November
P4B have worked super hard this month! I hope you enjoy reading about our excellent learning.
We have started our new topic – The Titanic – and have been developing our skills in different curricular areas. We created pencil line drawings of the Titanic – it was so important that we took our time with this and included lots of detail! We created a timeline and ordered important events during the Titanic disaster! We are looking forward to presenting our Titanic project to the class before the Christmas holidays.
In our Maths and Numeracy learning, we have been focusing on division with exchanging and remainders. We have been working hard to solve problems and have taken our time to work through challenging word problems! We will be moving on to fractions as division as well as measurement before Christmas.
We wrote a piece of persuasive writing focusing on Climate Change because we know how important it is to look after our Earth. We have planned, designed and created pieces of work related to Climate Change, Anti-Bullying and the importance of spreading kindness, such as posters, information leaflets and Power Points too! We enjoyed taking part in our Readathon during Book Week Scotland and learning about the story of Guy Fawkes.
We are continuing to spread kindness and know that we should try to spend time thinking about what we are grateful for in our lives. We have written thank you prayers to God and Jesus. We are looking forward to our Christmas Assembly and know you will be excited to see it! Next week, we will be learning about Saint Andrew. It’s the first Sunday of Advent this Sunday and we have been preparing for this in class. We look forward to beginning Advent activities next week.
We have been enjoying our Outdoor Learning in the lower forest and have been involved in a variety of STEM activities, including building a bird’s nest, creating a mini den and building a rain shelter!
