This week we entered not one but two competitions – the first focused on designing a Christmas card (even though we are in October), and the second was about Road Safety (which we completed as part of our writing this week, learning about what goes into a persuasive poster).

As the leaves start to change colour, we looked at why leaves are green in the first place – a pigment called Chlorophyll – and how the lack of this pigment makes the leaves turn yellow and red.

We used Just Dance videos to work on our fitness inside due to the inclement weather. Splitting into four different groups we played a series of drama games to explore our word, creativity, acting and attention skills.

We look forward to the October break, a chance to recharge, have fun and consolidate our learning.
