This week in Literacy we used our spelling words to create our own crosswords! This was very cool. On Wednesday for our writing task we created firework safety leaflets, this was very fun and now we all know how to be really safe around fireworks.  For our reading lesson we looked at prediction, this was super fun because we got re-read parts of Harry Potter and pick clues out from the text to guess what happened next! We’re all excellent book detectives!

For our topic we learned about the Battle of Stirling Bridge, we were all very excited that Scotland won, woohoo! Some of us made Acrostic Poems and some of us wrote a diary entry to recap what we had learned about The Battle of Stirling Bridge. We’re redrafting these to show them off on our Topic Working Wall!!

In Art we focused on the finer details. We focused on small sections at a time to create a large poppy. Some of us coloured these in with watercolour during Golden Time on Friday. They were beautiful!

In Health & Wellbeing we’ve been creating a safe environment where we all feel comfortable to discuss our fears. We’re very supportive of each other! Miss Harvey felt lots of love and was very proud of us all!! We all got our flu vaccinations this week so afterwards we continued our Health and Wellbeing with a bit of a mindfulness meditation which was very relaxing and calming! You could hear a pin drop our class was so quiet!!

On Friday it was a rainy day so we did P.E. inside with Miss Flaherty, we really enjoyed getting to do a bit of Just Dance. It’s our favourite! Cian, Ubaid, Leo and Ryan C.C did the best dance so they showed the whole class again, we really enjoyed watching it! Well done boys!

What a fanstically busy week!!
