Welcome back everyone!
It’s been a difficult few months for us all, but the pupils of Primary 6C have stepped up to the plate! A lot of excellent work was produced during Lockdown and the pupils returned before Spring Break raring to go!
In Maths, we have looked at Area, Perimeter, numbers to a million as well as the relationship between Distance Speed and Time.
In Language , we have continued to investigate grammar and spelling rules and have begun working on creating interesting ‘Setting’ scenes. We are going to be starting a book study, ‘Wonder’ next week. This is the story of a wee boy with a facial disfigurement and how he learns to overcome prejudice. It is a great story about resilience!
We focused on preparations for Easter and look forward to the month of May, when we will be reciting the rosary. We will also look at the festival of Eid. During Holy Week, the pupils raised over £100 for SCIAF which was excellent!
We are going to be looking at ways to help our planet on ‘Earth Day’… look out for our posters on twitter! Our topic this term will be Rights Respecting School and we will be looking at the right to protest, which seems to be relevant at the moment.
As always, keep an eye on twitter to see what we are doing!
