Well, we’re nearly there!
We’ve managed to get to the end of term mostly unscathed. I’d like to thank you all for your support and encouragement which shines through your children.
The children have continued to work conscientiously through these last few weeks. In Language they wrote very detailed reports on life as a child worker in Victorian times. This was followed by some excellent Chimney Sweep poems which showed a real understanding of the plight of those poor kids. We finished off the year with Acrostic Christmas poems.
We finished off our work on fractions, decimals and percentages… so don’t be surprised if you get asked for 16/32 ‘s of the pizza from Dominos! We also had some fun with bar graphs (favourite Christmas food), 2D shape (cutting and gluing!!) and Christmas co ordinates (Rudolph and Frosty the Snowman). Who said Maths was boring??
We made Advent pledges which I hope were carried out at home and reflected on Piety for Pope Francis Faith Award. We also made some excellent Advent Wreaths in the Jungle.
We hope you enjoyed watching our Christmas video… we certainly had fun filming it!
Hope you all have a relaxing holiday and see you in the New Year!
