Hello, hello… anyone out here?
Well, if you are, make a cup of tea, take a seat and read on to discover what we have been up to over the last few weeks.
Maths:
We have been focusing on the relationship with fractions and decimals. We have also completed lots of Arithmetic activities too.
Mr McLaughlin emptied out his plastic recycling bin and we found out about millilitres and litres. It was very exciting!
Language
In Language this month
We wrote some brilliant Haikus
They were on Autumn.
We also wrote about our heroes. We realised that heroes don’t all have to wear capes (or spandex!)
RE:
We continued with the Pope Francis Faith Award. We delivered presentations to our classmates about our hobbies and made cards for our parents to thank them for looking after us. (We hope you liked them!)
Canon Eddie came into our class and celebrated Mass for us, which was lovely!
ICT
We have continued to do some coding in ICT and managed to create our own Google logos.
Australia
Our topic came to a close with a bang when we each delivered a talk on a particular aspect of Australia. Topics ranged from animals, landmarks, food and sports. Mr McLaughlin said that they were excellent!
Victorians
Our new topic is close to Mr McLaughlin’s heart… The Victorians! The good old days, when children were seen and not heard! So far, we have learned about The Workhouses as well as about some of the jobs poor Victorian children had to do. We realised that we are very fortunate to have Rights!
Outdoor
We completed Beat the Street and then headed back to Crookfur Jungle. We have made some Environmental Art and built a bird’s nest. We are going on a Scavanger Hunt this Thursday. We can’t wait to see what we will find!
Next stop… Christmas!
As always, keep an on Twitter for up to the minute news and photos!
