This term P7<\/span>b have been covering many topics in maths. Some of these include: Distance, speed and time, time intervals and division. We have\u00a0<\/span>also been learning our times tables and doing games to encourage mental agility.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In writing we have enjoyed doing imaginative pieces like Frankenstein\u2019s monster, we have also collected notes of the senses in forest school and used the<\/span>m to create an autumn poem.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In Science we learned about different states of matter: solid, liquid and gasses. We did an experiment to see if ice diluted water when it melted. We then did an experiment on the fastest way to melt ice.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In Art we have been study<\/span>ing the work of Georges Seurat, mainly his revolutionary technique of pointillism. We used this to paint sunflowers and famous American landmarks.<\/p>\n

During outdoor learning we have done man<\/span>y river walks, much to the protest of pupil’s wet socks! We also abseiled down a hillside and made model rafts at the bottom to race against each other in the river.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In P.E we did many fitness courses to build<\/span> up stamina, we learned teamwork in ultimate frisbee and coordination skills in tennis and had fun playing rounders together.<\/p>\n

In Health and Wellbeing, we learned the importance of healthy eating and create our own healthy diet plan! <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We also took part in our first online mandarin lesson. We learned about the differences and similarities between China and Scotland and learned some of the tones. We can’t wait to learn more!<\/p>\n

This term has been a great one for P7b, tod<\/span>ay we are celebrating Halloween! We have loads of fun activities planned like a p<\/span>umpkin parade and class parties.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We have all received lette<\/span>rs for our excursio<\/span>n<\/span>\u00a0to Lockerbie manor. We have also picked our confirmation names so it is going to be a very bu<\/p>\n

sy month ahead for us.<\/p>\n
