Maths

In our Maths lessons we have been focusing on fractions decimals, rounding, volume and 2D/3D shapes.  The Triangles have been focusing on multiplication and subtraction.

Social Studies

In Social Studies we learnt about Australia’s top ten most deadly spiders and snakes. We are also looking forward to sharing our PowerPoint presentations about Australia with the class.

Literacy

In Literacy, We have been learning how to effectively use characterisation in our stories. We have also been focusing on writing instructions.

Celebrating our Learning

We really enjoy adding work to our learning showcase tiles which are displayed around the room. We like being able to select the pieces of work we are most proud of for our classmates to see. We have also displayed our poems about the forest outside of our classroom; they are amazing!

Outdoor Learning

We have been out completing different routes for Beat the Street and have really enjoyed this.  We have had lots of fun in the forest.  Last week we had a pebble finding competition,it was very exciting. For outdoor learning in the playground this week, we faced a Maths challenge. We had to create a magic square using leaves, twigs and basically anything we could find. It was a lot of fun and certainly challenged us!

Religious Education

We have started to prepare for The Pope Francis Award and look forward to celebrating a Mass of Enrolment in class tomorrow.

Classroom Fun!

We are looking forward to dressing up tomorrow and beating the street in our costumes.

Happy Halloween!
